Everyone experiences anxiety from time to time, whether you’re getting absolutely destroyed in a 1v5 video game situation or simply trying to order coffee. However, anxiety disorders are

deeper than simple fear and nervousness. It is sometimes a constant hindrance and could worsen over time without proper care. It can range from generalized anxiety disorder to phobia-related disorders.

Symptoms for general anxiety disorders involve

  • Feeling nervous or restless

  • Sense of danger/doom

  • Increased heart rate

  • Increased breathing

  • Sweating

  • Trembling

  • Lack of concentration

  • Etc.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is constant worrying on most days for a period of 6 months, whether it's about social interactions, work, or personal health. This often occurs with other anxiety disorders or depression and there is often no specific reason why. People with GAD often worry in situations where it's unrealistic.

Panic Disorder

Panic Disorder is when you get random panic attacks or anxiety attacks. It is something that happens regularly to people with this disorder, also for no specific reason.

A panic attack is a sudden wave of mental and physical symptoms that happens quickly with no prior warning. Symptoms involve racing heartbeat, feeling faint, dizziness, feeling of dread or death, etc. (varies for different people)

Phobia Related Disorders

Phobia-related disorders are anxiety disorders where a person has extreme irrational fear towards a situation, place, thing, or object. These phobias would often have triggers that could lead to panic attacks and affect their day-to-day lives.

Seek help.

Please. If you feel as though you need help in anything concerning your mental health. Go get it. Get some help. Preferably from a professional but if you’re broke (like me) it would be best to talk to an adult you trust or close friends and family. If you have none then... maybe some online friends. Here are some discord servers I personally recommend for distractions or if you need someone to talk to :)
