The highly anticipated 2.4 update of Genshin Impact

What is Genshin impact
Genshin Impact is a game published by miHoYo and is an open-world action role-playing game that allows the player to control one of four interchangeable characters in a party. Switching between characters can be done quickly during combat, allowing the player to use several combinations of skills and attacks.
What is expected in the new 2.4 update
The Genshin Impact 2.4 update might be the biggest update in the game's history and has just been released on 4 January 2022. Players now can try to collect two new characters, the 4 star Yun jin and 5 star Shenhe, explore the underwater island location of Enkanomiya(an Inazuma region), take on the primordial bathysmal vishaps bosses and attain the calamity queller weapon.
Theories that may actually be true
This release not only got genshin impact fans to be excited by the new features but it may actually answer many theories that left the fans wondering. Update 2.4 may answer theories like Scaramouche who has both one of the longest histories and the most mysterious lore. Not only is he the only Harbinger so far to be directly related to an Archon, but the 6th Fatui Harbinger may have more knowledge about the world than he lets on. This theory originated during the “Unreconciled Stars event” where Scaramouche stated that the “stars and sky are a lie.” This line may be him shading Celestia as well as solidify the theory of how Celestia is actually evil. Due to such a statement and relationship with an archon many fans believe that he may be an important piece that the traveller, aka the player, to unlocking the Genshin Impact world Teyvat.
The other theory of Celestia being evil is also circling in the community due to its mysterious lore. Currently all that is known of it is that Celestia is the source of an Archon's authority and is where the noblest of people go. Even with such limited knowledge fans have theories that Celestia may not be good at all as there are a lot of evidence that supports the idea that Celestia may be the hidden source of evil in Genshin Impact rather than the Abyss Order or the Fatui, who is seen as the main antagonist. One evidence of this maybe due to the fact that, currently with all information is provided, most of the Archons on Tivat seem to have a strained relationship with Celestia: The archon of wind, Venti, purposely avoids the topic in the Genshin Impact manga, The archon of electro, Raiden Shogun has cut ties with the land and The archon of ice, Tsaritsa's whole agenda is causing a “rebellion against the divine.” In addition, Celestia is also often seen in the in-game scholars as having a role in most influential historical events, like the Archon War, which only makes their reputation even more suspicious.
Final thoughts
Genshin Impact is an open-world action role-playing game that many people love due to its aesthetic scenery and awesome characters (Zhong Li being my favourite ;))to obtain through the beautiful animated gacha in the game. Personally I’m very excited to explore the new island and obliterate the new bosses to help improve my team. The 2.4 update really may be among my favourite updates and is a great start of the 2022 year.
